Olin Family Society

Today I performed a mission as the Historian of the OLIN Family Society: I met Mary Dell (OLIN) PRITZLAFF. Her Grandfather was Franklin W. OLIN, the founder of OLIN Corporation and after whom the Franklin W. OLIN College of Engineering is named. Her line is John-John-Giles-Giles-Truman-Franklin-Spencer-Mary Dell (OLIN) PRITZLAFF.  I have tried to correspond with her and have invited her to the SoCal Social to no avail. I have long known that she lives near Santa Barbara (I believe adjacent to Oprah's house) and finally decided to drive the 190 mile round-trip to see if meeting her in person would do any good. I shoulda brought Joe, it would have gone differently if her 6th Cousin (4 times removed) was there to charm her. I got to shake her hand.  She didn't want the address book from a childhood friend of hers I had bought on ebay (for cheap) that included her name as well as several peers.  No she would not be attending any reunions.  Bye.  95 miles back.  But at least I went.
